Milan, 15 October 2026: Andion CH4 Renewables SAS (“Andion CH4”) is proud to announce that the Tube Trailer, which departed this morning fully loaded with the purest biomethane from our Agromet Barbianello plant, successfully completed its first injection into the Italian Snam national gas grid this evening at the Matrix Brescia delivery point.

The Offtake by Solvay has officially started!

The Agromet Barbianello plant, located in the municipality of Barbianello, in the province of Pavia, Lombardy, will apply a proven anaerobic digestion technology process to transform agricultural residues into high-quality renewable biomethane, compliant with Decree No. 240 of 15 September 2022, commonly known as the Italian Biomethane Decree DM 2022.

The project converts organic waste streams into dispatchable, low-carbon energy, contributing to national decarbonisation targets while also strengthening local energy security. The project also prioritises environmental performance, safe and efficient plant management, and transparent reporting, while working closely with local stakeholders, suppliers, and farming communities to generate long-term regional benefits.
